We are a small but lively farm in northwest Wisconsin that lovingly raise a variety of animals, focusing on health, disease clearance testing, and temperament. We specialize in breeding AKC Great Pyrenees, but also have a few litters from our beautiful AKC Standard Poodle Freya. All our four-footed family members have been genetically health tested. Puppies will have their first set of shots, health check and guarantee and be on a standard deworming schedule. Standard Poodles will have had their dew claws removed and tails docked. DP Farms is located in Central Wisconsin and breeds Great Pyrenees. We produce magnificent AKC Great Pyrenees. Our breeding dogs have EXCELLENT conformation, temperament and SUPERIOR genetics & livestock guardian capabilities. We offer a 90 day health guarantee and a lifetime of support. Both Dam and Sire have BIG bear heads, gorgeous manes with dripping coats, and EXCELLENT CONFORMATION, that gives our Pyrs the true majestic look of the Great Pyrenees. Our breeding pair has OUTSTANDING temperaments and our pups make excellent Livestock Guardians, Family Guardians, Service Dogs or Therapy Dogs. The puppies are exposed to all the sights, sounds and smells of a farm and have spent time with our sheep, chickens, guineas, ducks and cats; so, they grow up to have a very confident nature. For a fee, we can provide door-to-door delivery to ensure a smooth transition for your new family member. In terms of feeding, we recommend feeding your puppies a food that is comparable to Hill's Science Diet for Large Breed Puppies and allow them eat as much and as often as they like until they stop self regulating their food intake. For health and longevity reasons, once our dogs stop self regulating their food intake, we switch them over to a once or twice a day feeding schedule that typically consists of an age appropriate dog food along with fresh, raw meat and fresh vegetables on occassion. In regards to vaccinations, we have decided to leave that decision up to our buyers. You can do your own research about the controversy and make the decision that you feel is best for your new puppy.
