Lisa Caldwell is from Washington and only breeds Basset Hounds. My family of 8 adores basset hounds. We have a small kennel on 6 acres on Steamboat Island, Olympia. We have an abundance of peace, nature and beauty for our bassets to enjoy! We love our dogs, and It takes a village of the best, most loving families to help us achieve our goals. Our bassets come from some of the very best kennels in the world. Our puppies are very loved, eat high quality food, NuVet vitamins, and on a strict training regimen, which includes the start of potty training. I am a former school teacher, but freelance from home now. I spend so much of every day, caring, researching and improving all that I do with this breed I am so passionate about. They have thick, plush fur and thick, strong bones, with lots of wrinkles, skin and "cankles". We can do a combo of the American and/or European look and definitely take into consideration of what our deposit families want. Our bassets are generally laid back, know how to enjoy other dogs/pets and people. They are very affectionate. They are popular and know it! They welcome attention from everyone! They have great conformation, and easily do the job of what bassets are bred to do. They are one of the most emotional breeds and need to know that you love them. They can be very demanding as well, and desire a family that has a schedule and who set and maintains boundaries, because after all, they live to please you and need your approval. If you want to show or do trial runs, or have a child who would like to do 4 H, this basset hound is the quality you need. If you need a travel buddy, And are thinking smaller is better, I breed for that as well.
