We are a boutique breeder of exceptional German Shorthaired Pointers equally at home in the field or as a companion. I have been around the breed for more than 45 years and gained my my love and appreciation of the breed from a neighbor who bred and trained them for over 70 years. Our dogs come from diverse backgrounds and distinctive lineages such as Valhalla Kennels (Otis of Valhalla, Lance's Mr. Executive) in Colorado and Bona Kennels (Bona's Timmy and Bona's Dina) in Indiana. Our dogs tend to be on the larger end of the scale for GSPs with males ranging from 72-84 pounds and females averaging 62-65 pounds. We breed for intelligence, sweetness, large soft mouths, conformation, and hunting instinct. Our dogs are fierce hunters and loving companions. We have never had a dog returned for any reason, and we have then distributed from Mexico to Canada to South Korea and lots of places in-between.

Carolina Shorthairs Kennel, is nested on the Saluda River, in upstate South Carolina our kennels only focus on breeding of German Shorthaired Pointers. GSPs have been in our family lives since the late 1930's. The number one focus for us is health of the new little bundle of joy. Our combined pedigrees offer an outstand genetic pool of intelligent, strength, personality, and desire to preform at any task and level. We offer Solid Black, Solid Liver, Dark and Light roan , ticked and patched for each color. We have you cover in all areas. All the puppies from our kennel will be your new best friends, so we stride to start them off right for you with basic puppy training from the beginning of life and good healthy food and vitamin supplements. Our love for GSP's is the foundation of our story and why we established D's GSP Kennel. As our love continues to grow, so does our passion for sharing it with others. We take our GSP's health seriously and provide the best veterinary care to each of them. As puppies they receive routine deworming and start vaccinations on time as well as start heartworm/flea/tick prevention at the age of 8 weeks in order to protect them against this deadly disease. At the age of one our GSP's have their first dental cleaning to prevent periodontal disease in the future, bi-annual bloodwork is done as well as preventative radiographs in order to check for hip dysplasia. We also get routine fecal testing, eye pressure testing, urinalysis testing, and electrocardiograms done. Each of our GSP's have excellent health checks and are all AKC registered. Our GSP's are more than just pets... They are family! We take pride in knowing that we are raising such a beautiful and healthy breed and strive to find the perfect home for our pups.
