Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier

Welcome to Inishmore! We are a small hobby breeders of Kerry Blue Terriers and Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers. Our small breeding program is carefully planned. We are a member in good standing with Soft Coated Wheaten Terrier Club of America, United States Kerry Blue Terrier Club, Empire Kerry Blue Terrier Club, Garden State All Terrier Club and Bronx County Kennel Club. I am also an active president of the Staten Island Kennel Club. Original looks, friendly temperament and good health are our number one priority. ALL our Kerry Blue Terrier dogs, that are being used for breeding, have been DNA tested for Factor XI Deficiency (FED), VON Willebrand's(VWD), Degenerative Myelopathy (DM), Canine Multiple System Degeneration (CMSD), OFA Hips and Elbows. ALL our Soft Coated Wheaten Terriers are tested as per SCWTCA Code of Ethics. Vet care is done at vet specialist clinic, and references are always available. Puppies get all shots, wormings, dew claws, micro chipping and checkups. Although they are hypoallergenic and non shedding, these breeds still require constant grooming and maintenance with their coats. Potential families are always screened. We start grooming our puppies as early as 3 weeks old so they can learn to be comfortable on the grooming table. Ear setting starts at 4-5 weeks, so you will have a pretty ear set for your companion dog. Please do your homework on where your puppy comes from! My dogs are family and I enjoy showing and raising them as a passion and not as business. Our dogs live and play in our home. We do not ship our puppies, as new owners drive or fly to pick them up (owner flying the puppy that fits under the seat in a sherpa bag is very common practice). Puppies are sent to their new home, between 10-12 weeks of age. Please use the Buyer Questionnaire when sending your inquiry. This tool is designed to help us pre-screen and save us time in finding the right home for our puppies. I provide a lifetime of breeder support and seek homes that will stay in touch over time. Kind regards, Ilona Shur, President The Staten Island Kennel Club.
