Rhodesian Ridgeback

Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Pharaoh Hounds are our passion. They're our regal and beloved family companions. We have exciting news that our beautiful puppies have arrived! Our puppies are lovingly raised and socialized in our home as part of our family to help set a wonderful foundation for them to grow into happy, healthy, and loving adult dogs. They have dew claws removed, are up to date vaccinations, dewormed, are health certified by our veterinarian, and come with a 24 month health guarantee. Their parents are OFA tested for hips, elbows, thyroid, cardiac, patella, eyes, and more. We breed for health, quality, beauty, family companionship, and superior structure, breeding exceptional quality Rhodesian Ridgebacks and Pharaoh Hounds. Rhodesian Ridgeback

Melissa Carlin is from New York and breeds Rhodesian Ridgebacks. **If you are more than a one day drive away and are not willing to fly in to pick up your puppy in person, I strongly suggest you go to The Rhodesian Ridgeback Club Of The United States web page (RRCUS.org) and check the Breeders Listings for a responsible breeder closer to you. I do not ship puppies to buyers I have not met in person. Thank you for respecting this decision.** About me: I have been showing and breeding my dogs since 1977. I am a member of the Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of The United States, The Kennel Union of Southern Africa and The Mid Hudson Kennel Association. My Ridgebacks are all house dogs, living in my home. They are a mixture of American, South African and Australian lines and I have recently added European dogs to my pedigrees. All my dogs are fully health tested prior to breeding, most have also been Temperament tested by the American Temperament Test Society. All puppies are checked by a veterinarian prior to going home, have recieved their first vaccination, and are microchipped. Every puppy also goes home with a lifetime "subscription" to "Ask The Breeder" - I will be glad to answer questions about your puppy, adult & old dog. Whether you have a problem or just a brag I'm always happy to hear from my puppy owners.  I do have a job, (one without phone access) so I am usually not available during working hours so please be patient while waiting for a response - and no calls after 9PM please -THANK YOU! Please be aware that you are not "adopting a fur baby" you are purchasing a purpose-bred Rhodesian Ridgeback from health tested parents! I take breeding happy, healthy Ridgebacks with solid temperaments very seriously. My recommendations on feeding, vaccinations and general care and training are based on years of experience - not fads or theory. And if you cannot keep your dog for any reason I WANT HIM or HER BACK! No questions, judgement or blame... AKC proudly supports dedicated and responsible breeders. We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual.
