Welcome to Schaeffer's Hops-n-Hounds A little about us - we live in the country on a 25 acre farm about 2 miles outside of a small college town. We are active in two local All-Breed kennel clubs and member of the Irish Wolfhound Club of America. We show in AKC, UKC, INT and Canadian All-Breed shows and try to make as many Irish Wolfhound Specialties as we can throughout the year. We raise and live with healthy happy Irish Wolfhounds. .......PAST....................................................................................................................................................................................................................... Prior to becoming Irish Wolfhound enthusiasts, we were 4H Leaders for over 10 years raising/breeding healthy livestock and educating the public, we also participated in our local 4H Dog club for 10 years teaching children responsible dog ownership, grooming and handling, obedience and agility. .......FACEBOOK........................................................................................................................................................................................................ All of our dogs are health tested, vaccinated, micro-chipped and de-wormed and tested for liver shunt before they go to their new homes. Puppies don't go home until 12 weeks of age, this is an ideal age for this breed. ............. We also brew beer hence the Hops-N-Hounds registered kennel name !
