Health clearances are an integral part of our breeding program and we require any litters to have them to ensure we can produce healthy and happy puppies. At Hideaway Acres we are active in conformation, hunting, obedience, rally, dock diving and other AKC sports. We have history of conformation champions. Our dogs are as happy competing as they are lounging around on the couch or playing with their toys. Having a litter of puppies is a tremendous responsibility and we believe in supporting our puppy owners for the life of the puppy. I have been breeding GSP for over 40 years. My goal is to produce quality dogs with beautifull structure, movement and a keen hunting ability. Breeding to only the best of bloodlines (Champions, Dual/AFC Championship, Master Hunters and Best in Show winners) When you buy a puppy make sure the parents are OFA certified That shows a responsible breeder who cares what they are producing are healthier puppies. Next to the sire and dam names are the OFA numbers in blue. If the numbers are not there Chances are they are not OFA. The German Shorthaired Pointer club of America recommends 5 test before breeding they are hips, elbows, Cardiac, eyes and cone degeneration. They recommend these test because they have found increasing problems in our breed. The only way to eradicate these problems is to test the parents and have them OFA certified. Halls Kennel is located near the foothills of the Adirondacks in the St. Lawrence Seaway Valley a little east of Potsdam NY.
