Shadybrook Acres is located in the pristine Southern Catskills Mountains of New York. We are located 90 minutes from NYC. Our dogs and puppies experience the picturesque setting of running in grassy fields, crossing our trout stream and swimming in our pond. Our dogs live in our home and actively explore the natural environment each and every day. They are first and foremost our family members and we work hard to ensure they will grow to be the same for you. We have been involved with Purebred dogs since 1994. We acquired our first Pointer in 1999. That set in place the foundation for our deep love and devotion to this majestic and noble breed. Over the years we have bred many show champions and proudly accomplished Hunting, Obedience and Therapy Dog titles on our beloved dogs. In 2016 we added the lively and loving Chinese Crested to our canine family. We have admired this breed for quite some time. We knew these playful, affectionate and sweet tempered dogs would mesh perfectly with our Pointer family. Our Chinese Cresteds are fortunate to enjoy all the benefits of our beautiful surroundings. They are always eager to amuse themselves in nature and later curl up on our laps for a long nap. At Shadybrook we place the highest importance on excellent temperament, good health and soundness of mind and body. We provide our puppies with the best start in life possible. They are raised inside our home, given high quality nutrition and provided with every opportunity to learn, grow and explore through early socialization with people and the great outdoors. I'am an AKC Show enthusiast and Breeder of AKC Chinese Crested Dogs and AKC Bernese Mountain Dogs- I have bred the Bernese for over 30 years and the Crested Dogs for about 15 now. Yes its two different sized breeds to cohabitate together but they are true BFF's! I have finished endless numbers of AKC/ CKC Champions throughout my years in the dog events. This is my hobby and passion- I strive to produce puppies that have superior temperaments and can be of breed Quality in Standard, yet are wonderful confident Therapy Dogs. We currently do visits to our local Rehab Facilities and Nursing Homes as well as Schools & Public events. All my dogs in the Breeding Program are Health Tested, Champion Parentage & Well Socialized. I do extensive Training & testing from the moment of Birth, to promote a well balanced pup for families to enjoy for years to come.
