Veronica Dowling is from Michigan and has been involved with breeding and showing for over 30 years. My first breed is Shetland Sheepdogs (shelties), I started showing them in 1989. I have breed several National Specialty class winners along with National Award of Merit Winners. I have bred a ROM and am a Breeder of Merit. Icelandic Sheepdogs are my second breed. My first Icie came to me in 2010. I have produced a National Specialty Best of Breed winner along with National Specialty Winners dog and winners bitch. I exported the first recognized Icie to Australia where he has multiple Group placings and a Best In Show. Here in the U.S. my Icelandic Sheepdogs are breeder/owner handled and have multiple group wins and placements in several venues. Hidow Icelandic sheepdogs also excel in performance events and as Therapy dogs. I am a Breeder of Merit in both breeds and have finished dogs from the Bred by Exhibitor class. I raise my puppies using Puppy Culture and Avidog protocols in order to have well rounded canine family members. NorthAcre Shelties was a lifelong dream come true. I trained my first Sheltie in obedience at the age of 9 and have owned Shelties for over 25 years. Our Shelties are members of our family and love visitors. We socialize our puppy's from birth so they are great with children of all ages and other pets.
