Our ambition is to provide clients with a best friend for life. All our animals are cared for like a member of our family, and live happy, comfortable lives. Ever since any of us could remember, we've always had a pet dog. We love taking care of our dogs, and we believe our love for animals is a gift. You are happiest when your life's work is something you are passionate about! Our puppies reflect this notion. Several family members have allergies. After much research about hypoallergenic dogs the path led to Yorkies. It has been a blessing! No fuss, no shedding, no sneezing! We decided to share our joy with others through breeding.

They originate as you might have already guessed, from Yorkshire, England. During Victorian times, the little dogs worked in mines and cotton factories as ratters. However, they eventually left those dreary environments and moved up in society. In fact, in the latter part of the 1800s, the dogs were quite fashionable and were often seen being carried beneath a stylish lady's arm or in her handbag. Yorkshire terriers became an official recognized breed of the American Kennel Club in 1885. Personality The Yorkshire Terrier is a charming dog. Although small in size, his heart and personality are large. The Yorkie has a playful side, too, and can be mischievous and lovable all at the same time. An energetic and exuberant companion, he is still a true Terrier, intelligent, feisty, fearless, brave, determined, investigative and ready to take on the world. Exercise The Yorkshire Terrier gets his exercise by going everywhere with his owners following them around the house and yard, going for strolls around the block or neighborhood, or playing with them. Active by nature, regular romps and excursions will keep him happy and fit. Grooming A Yorkie kept in full coat must be brushed and combed every day to prevent tangles. The hair on his face grows long, too, and should be secured out of his eyes in a topknot. Many owners prefer to keep the coat clipped, which makes grooming much easier although it will still require regular brushing. The Yorkie sheds little and carries less dander, which can be a bonus for allergy sufferers. Foods that Should Not be Given to a Yorkie Certain foods are toxic to Yorkies as well as all dog breeds. Never give your dog walnuts, raisins, chocolate or grapes.Yorkie digestive tracts are known to be delicate. So, make it a rule to provide your dog with a sensible diet and don't feed it anything that is a little bit too out of the ordinary. That also means excluding cereals, grains, or fillers from your dogs menu. Don't give your Yorkie dog food that contains any substantial amount of corn, soy, or wheat. Also, never buy a dog food that contains such byproducts as rice flour, brewers yeast or beet pulp in the ingredient listing. Yorkies have a sensitive digestive system. Feed your dog a wet, nutritional food combined with a healthy dry food or kibble. Life Span The average life span of the Yorkshire Terrier is 12 to 15 years.
