We encourage all prospective puppy owners to do their research and be prepared with questions to ask the breeder. Make sure you are not only choosing the right breed for you, but also that you’re getting it from the right individual. I am a breeder committed to the welfare of the Irish Wolfhound. I take responsibility for every puppy I breed or one of my males sire, for the entire life of that puppy. This means I will be a source of information, help, guidance and support for anyone who obtains a puppy from Carnasserie for their entire life, not until you leave my property. The males and females I use in my breeding program have been evaluated by fellow breeders and judges and have been deemed worthy specimens who will make a contribution to the breed. All males and females have been health tested. They have obtained their CHIC (Canine Health Information Center) numbers and these tests are updated regularly and posted publicly. http://www.caninehealthinfo.org/ These tests include but are not limited to hips, elbows, eyes and hearts. All puppies are tested for liver shunt. I support, recommend and work with other breeders who share the same or similar philosophies. In other words, if I would not obtain a puppy from any certain breeder, I would most certainly not recommend them to you.
