Tin roof ACDs offers AKC Registered Australian Cattle Dog puppies. We consider our dogs family members. We understand that they are dogs, but they are living amongst us in our daily lives and activities. We strive to raise our pups with as much experiences and exposures to new textures, activities, noises, and mainly human affection as possible. The puppies are always by a fully health tested, sire and dam with excellent bloodlines, often times a champion. “Oh I don’t need a show quality, just a pet…”, is something I hear often. The AKC Conformation show champions are an important part of our program because it is important for a dog to be structurally correct & balanced. This permits the dog to travel properly which helps prevent lameness and arthritis, and allows the dog to cover ground effortlessly. The judges have scrutinized and awarded the Champions for conformation and characteristics in comparison to the breed standard and the competition. Champion pedigrees help produce better puppies with a higher potential to live longer, healthier lives. Purchasing a puppy out of Champion “show” dogs is not important to most pet owners; however, it should be, due to those benefits described above. Having champion pedigrees also gives the benefit of having a recorded history of the ancestors, where the dogs came from, and any health issues or testing results will be available. We do our best to produce top quality puppies with best chances for longevity, sound body, and good temperament. Please be sure to research about the breed traits as an ACD is not always an easy breed to live with. Most of them are wonderful companions, but do tend to need room to roam with a job.
